Elizabeth Rosas passed away peacefully on February 21, 2021 while surrounded by her loving family at her home in Danbury, CT. Elizabeth was born on September 28, 1954 in New York to the late Alejandro Diaz and Ester Mercado.
Elizabeth’s life calling was taking care of others including family, friends, and even strangers. She worked for many years as a child caregiver, paying special attention to each child and family that she served.
Elizabeth was a license beautician and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her love ones. She loved music and she loved her grandchildren. She loved to love the people in her life.
Elizabeth is survived by her beloved children: Ramon Rosas, daughter Belinda Aiken son in law Eddie Aiken and later in life god blessed her with a beautiful soul who she would consider her own until the end, Rachel Cardoso (husband Marcelo). She leaves behind seven grandchildren: Belle Bistany, Autumn Rosas, Gracie Rosas, Tristan Rosas, Ava-Marie Aiken, Skyla Aiken, and Victoria Cardoso. She leaves behind her beloved best friend/sister Georgina Irizarry of more than 30+ years. She also leaves behind her sister Nancy Flores, Ramona Martinez (brother in law Jose) and brother Victor Diaz. She is predeceased by her brothers Alexander Diaz, Edwin Diaz and Henry Diaz. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and all the children who called her mama. Her many cousins as well as aunts and uncles. Her many friends who were her family in her eyes to the end. To her second piece, Linda Lopez she was blessed to have your love. To her niece Christina Lopez for her help and laughter in all she did.
Due to COVID-19 A private visitation will be held by a small group of family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter Church (104 Main St, Danbury CT 06810) on Thursday February 25, 2021 at 10:30 a.m., the family ask that all are welcome to join for the church services.
