In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Durcelei also known as Ducy.
We announce the passing of our cherished grandmother, a loving woman of God, devoted wife, nurturing mother, and irreplaceable best friend. Her life was a radiant example of grace, faith, and unconditional love.
Ducy lived with a heart wide open — always ready to embrace, encourage, and uplift those around her. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth, where the aroma of her soul-soothing cooking welcomed all who entered. Her food not only fed the body, but her kindness fed the soul.
A true woman of style, Ducy carried herself with elegance and always took pride in her fashion taste. But it was her inner beauty — her generous spirit, her wise counsel, and her ever-present warm hugs — that made her truly unforgettable.
She leaves behind a legacy of faith, hospitality, and deep compassion. She was our guide, our comforter, and our home. While our hearts are heavy with her absence, we rejoice in knowing that she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before, and resting in the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ. A fighter who overcame all medical battles.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Psalm 130:5 (NIV)
"I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope."
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Tuesday June 3, 2025 from 3pm-5pm at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street, Danbury). A celebration of life service will take place during that time.
