Dong Jun James Ahn

Dong Jun James Ahn, of Newtown, CT, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on December 13, 2024 at Danbury Hospital. He was 64 years old.

Born in Korea, he is the son of Chang Sook Ahn and Sang Hyuck Ahn. Dong Jun married the love of his life Yeon Sook Kim (Sunny) on August 2, 1986. Together they created a home and family in Connecticut. 

Dong Jun was the owner and operator of Hillside Dry Cleaners. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and camping. Dong Jun had a great sense of humor and always wanted to make you laugh.  He was a devoted family man.  Family was at the heart of everything he did. 

He is not only survived by his loving wife Sunny but also his daughters; Lisa Mihee Kim and her husband Jun mo Kim,  Mijoo Sarah Ahn and Yeabin Esther Ahn, his six grandchildren; Madelyn, Theodore, Maci, Mila, Thomas and Jonathan.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Wednesday December 18, 2024 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street, Danbury) from 10am-11am with a service beginning at 11am. Burial will immediately follow. Reception will be held right after the burial at Christ the Shepherd Church at, 52 Stadley Rough Rd. Danbury, CT 06811.
