Donald G. Leonard

Donald G. Leonard, a lifelong resident of Danbury, passed away in the comfort of his family on May 7, 2026. He was 62 years old.

Born on July 2, 1963 in Danbury, CT, son of the late Ronald S. and MaryAnn (Washicko) Leonard. Donny was a 1981 graduate of Danbury High School. He married Ann Williams on April 28, 2023. 

Donny worked for Del-Tron Precision Inc in Bethel, CT for many years. He was an athlete through and through. He enjoyed participating in many sports throughout his life. He played basketball, baseball, softball and hockey. He enjoyed golfing and downhill skiing also. He was a fan of the Red Sox and Washington Redskins.

Donny is survived by his wife Ann, his son Mathew, his siblings; Joann Gavell (Charlie), Sharon Gardner (Steve), John Leonard (Lauren) and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother in law and sister in law Janet Harry and Neil Patterson. He will be missed by many. 

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 9, 2026 from 5pm-6pm with a service beginning at 6pm. A private cremation will be follow. Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street) assisted the family. To send condolences please visitwww.danburymemorial.com
