Debra Verboven, 64, of Bethel, Connecticut, passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a family who adored her and a lifetime of memories that will forever echo with laughter, music, and dance. A true dancing queen, Debra lit up every room and every dance floor she entered, moving through life with joy, confidence, and unmistakable presence.
Debra shared 40 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Donald Verboven, her partner in life, love, and everything in between. Together, they built a life rooted in loyalty, resilience, and deep devotion to family. She was a proud and loving mother to Samantha Verboven and Danielle Verboven, and a cherished mother-in-law to Daniel Drake.
Debra is also survived by her siblings, Anthony Giammarino, Carol Zagami, and Bonnie Conkey, along with their wonderful spouses, and by many beloved nieces and nephews who knew her as both a guiding force and a constant source of humor, honesty, and unconditional love. She is further survived by many cousins who shared in her stories, her laughter, and her unmistakable presence.
We all will forever carry pieces of her spirit with us—especially whenever the music plays and the dancing begins.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Monday December 29, 2025 from 3pm-5pm at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street, Danbury).
