Debora Jean Tison

Debora Jean Tison transitioned to eternal peace on June 21, 2022 at Danbury Hospital in Danbury CT. Debora was born on July 30, 1956 in Portland, Maine to the late Robert Lee Farris and Sarah Jane Farris. Beloved wife of James S. Tison, they were happily married for 23 years.

Debora was a vibrant and genuine person, whose greatest joy in life was showing her family how much she loved them. When her children were in school, she was the “fun mom” with whom her children and friends felt comfortable, later, she was the “fun grandma” who spoiled her grandchildren at every visit. Her favorite days were when she could visit with her grandchildren, Madeline and Sophie, as they were the lights of her life. She is a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who will be deeply missed. 

In addition to her husband, James, she is survived by her sister, Susan Dreschler of Antrim, NH, two beloved children: son Stephen Robert Larivee and daughter Sarah Larivee Winslow, daughter-in-law Alisyn Larivee, and stepson Michael James Tison. She had two precious grandchildren: Madeline Buturla and Sophie Larivee.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday July 6, 2022 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St., Danbury CT 06810) from 6 to 8 p.m.
