David William Traina Hutchison–beloved husband, son, brother, cousin, and uncle–was born on October 5, 1994, in Evanston, IL, and died unexpectedly on February 8, 2026, in Austin, Texas. From a young age, he was curious, affectionate, and passionate. He graduated from Evanston Township High School, where he played volleyball, basketball, and string bass. He was an Italian Studies major at Northwestern University; during his year in Bologna, he enjoyed fooling classmates into thinking he was a native speaker.
David met his wife, Marina, in Texas, where together they built a life rooted in love, faith, and shared vision. As partners in both marriage and business, they co-founded a wellness brand born from their desire to bring connection, presence, and healing into the lives of others. Their partnership was marked by deep love and an unwavering belief in the good they could bring into the world side by side. He was Marina’s greatest support, best friend, and constant source of light, and the life they built together will forever remain a testament to that love.
David’s bright light, playful spirit, and heartfelt gusto in all arenas of life will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Marinés Hernández; his sisters, Catherine Hutchison and Margaret Hutchison Forrestall; his parents, William Hutchison and Cristina Traina Hutchison; his grandmother, Margaret Warner Traina; and his nephews Escher and Jesse Forrestall.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Monday February 16, 2026 from 5pm-7pm at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday February 17, 2026 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (Golden Hill Rd) at 11am. Interment will immediately follow at Wooster Cemetery (20 Ellsworth Avenue).
