David Paul Gillotti

David Paul Gillotti, of New Fairfield, CT, passed away suddenly on January 5, 2022 at Danbury Hospital. He was 47 years old.

Dave was born on December 8, 1974 in Danbury, CT son of the late David Albert and Paula (Fischer) Gillotti. He was a graduate of New Fairfield High School.

David married Barbara Jane Ferris on March 7, 2012. He was a devoted husband full of love for his beloved wife Barb, his stepchildren Jessica and Blake, and his granddaughters Aubrey and Brinley. He was devoted to his family and loved his grandmother “Nan” as much as one person could.  Dave was a motorcycle enthusiast who owned and operated “Harley Dave’s Chop & Shop”, a master of his art and loved classic cars. He loved boating and being on Candlewood Lake. Dave was known as the dog whisperer; he loved all dogs.  Dave was selfless, he was kind and generous and would lend a hand to anyone. To be known by Dave was to be loved by Dave.

Dave is survived by his loving wife Barbara, his stepchildren; Jessica and Blake, his granddaughters; Aubrey and Brinley, his brother Cody Gillotti, his sister Danielle Mazza and his beloved grandmother Nancy ‘Nan’ Fischer and multiple nieces and nephews, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents David and Paula, his brother’s Matthew and Justin and his grandfather Dr. Paul Fischer.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Friday January 14, 2022 from 4:30pm-7pm at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street, Danbury). A private cremation will follow. Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases the family is requesting masks to be worn in the funeral home. Dave’s celebration of life gathering will also be live stream through Danbury Memorial Funeral Home’s website for those who wish to stay home and safe.
