Concetta A. Von Tanhausen

Concetta (Tina) Von Tanhausen passed away on March 22, 2025. She was born on September 13th, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York to Rocco Anterio and Anna Maresca.

Tina grew up in Brooklyn with her 3 sisters and 1 brother.  She met her husband Teddy in Brooklyn and had their loving daughter Lisa there.  They moved to New Fairfield where she became a high school secretary in the guidance office for over 30 years.  She loved working with the kids and touched many lives while there, both staff and students.

She enjoyed cooking and home decorating, just ask anyone who she was happy to give advice to.  Gardening became an avid hobby as well. Staying in touch with her family and friends kept her happy as well as being Nana to Dominic and Roman.

Tina has gone on to rejoin her loving husband, Theodore Von Tanhausen III. Her memory is carried ever forward by her daughter: Lisa Banning (Glenn).Her dear friend and devoted caregiver Charity, her husband William and their sweet son Hendricks and also her precious little friend Olivia.

She also leaves behind her sisters Nancy Piccirillo, Ann Marie Oddo and husband Lenny, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Tony Anterio, sister, Mary Barcia.

A mass of Christian burial will take place Monday March 31,2025  at St. Edwards the Confessor Church (21 Brush Hill Road New Fairfield, CT 06812) in New Fairfield at 11:00am. Interment will immediately follow at Mountain View Cemetery (CT-37, New Fairfield, CT 06812)
