Charlene Atlanta Latham passed away peacefully on June 1, 2022, at her home in Danbury CT while surrounded by her loving family. Charlene was born on May 31, 1970, in Danbury CT to the late Karen Latham and Charlie William Latham Sr.
Charlene grew up in Danbury, CT and she attended Danbury public schools. She was a very loving, caring, and passionate person which is why she went into the caregiving field. Charlene enjoyed playing cards, listening to music, dancing, and was always the life of the party. She was affectionately known as the Queen of Beaver Street you always knew where to find her. The Queen’s name will FOREVER live on she will be deeply missed.
Charlene is survived by her five beloved children: Adam Mark Latham (Crystal), Sharmeta Leeann Latham (Jeremy), Sharteaa Paulette Dickerson, Aaron Dickerson III, and Sharneaa Renee McLennon. Stepdaughter: Takeema (Harvey) Mcmanus. Eleven grandchildren: Sharaja, Tae’Quannah, Iy’onnah, Saniyah Latham, Devin Blanchette, Yaniah Sanchez, I’Mani Riley, Raevin Simmons, Jenai Nathan, Omari Simmons, and Haven Mcmanus. Goddaughter: Avion Ricketts. Eight siblings: Michelle Tallman, Charlie Latham Jr. (Genevieve), Christopher Latham Sr., LaCresia Johnson, Jemar King, Charleeta Latham, Ricky Washington, and Travis Ballas. Five nieces: Shalina, Christina, Jaeda, Jazlyn, and Jeaniz. Nine nephews: Malcolm, Michael, Christopher Jr., Zion, Jaden, Jay’Meir, Cameron, Joshua, and Massiah. Special niece and nephew: Tasheena and Jimmie. Great nieces: Kenya, Kayla, and Milani. Great nephews: Savion, Jayvion, Kyro, Jayden, Gianni, Arloe, and Ziare. Her bonus sisters: Darlene, Terry, Lynn, Virgina, and Bennita. And a host of other family and friends. In addition to her Mother Karen, she is predeceased by her grandmother Carol Tallman, grandfather Paul Tallman, grandson Derik Jaramillo, niece Kayla Latham, great niece Malaysia Keanleng, and great nephew Deon Winters Jr.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on June 10, 2022, at New Hope Baptist Church (12 Dr Aaron B Samuels Blvd, Danbury CT 06810) from 10 to 11 a.m. with a Celebration of Life Prayer Service to begin at 11 a.m.
