Celia Cruz-Young Obituary

Celia Cruz-Young, died peacefully with her loving family by her side on August 2, 2024. She was 50 years old.
Celia was born on July 6, 1974 in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of Leonidas Agusto Paula and Zaida Espinal. Celia continued her education at University of Bridgeport and received her Master’s degree.
Celia married the love of her life James Odell Young on May 18, 2014. They created amazing memories during the last ten years together. She was a hard worker and it showed. Celia was the Executive Director of One Stop with Quinnipiac University. She loved helping others and this was prevalent throughout her career.
Celia’s greatest passion and joy in life was her family. She loved just being with her family, there was always joy and laughter when they were all together. She loved her dog, Pablo. Over the years James learned to accept all the packages that showed up at their front door from Amazon, QVC and of course Target.
Celia is not only survived by her loving husband, James and her parents but also her siblings; Luis Cruz and Sara Paula, her nieces and nephews; Joshua, Mariah, Kylia, Luis Jr and Shawn, her aunts, uncles and many cousins.
