Catherine Deicke

Catherine (Fusco) Deicke passed away peacefully on September 7, 2021. Catherine was born on August 7, 1933 in Danbury, CT to the late Carmella (Pillerino) and Michael Fusco.

Catherine was as graduate of Danbury High School and spent most of her life in the area. She worked for several upscale restaurants before beginning her career at Risdon Manufacturing where she worked for 25 years.  When she was ready to retire, Catherine decided to move to Florida where she could work on getting a better sun tan. She loved to garden and cook large meals for her family to enjoy. She was known for always taking care of her family and for barking out orders to keep them in line.

Catherine is survived by her loving children Carmen Deicke and Lori Kidd Gross (Eddie), her grandchildren Kenneth J. Deicke III and Dwaine A. Deicke II as well as many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She was predeceased by her sons Dwaine Deicke and Kenneth Deicke Jr. and her siblings Ben Fusco, Peter Fusco and Rose Fusco.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday October 2, 2021 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St. Danbury, CT 06810) from 1pm – 3pm with a prayer service to begin at 2:30pm. To light a candle in her memory or leave a condolence, please visit the tribute wall at the top of her obituary page.
