Carol Dampf passed away peacefully on October 2, 2020 at Hancock Hall in Danbury, CT. Carol was born on January 7, 1935 in Israel Zion Hospital in Brooklyn, NY to the late Gladys (Gross) and Harry Braunfeld.
Carol attended the High School of Art and Design in New York City. Upon graduation she decided to pursue her passion and became a sketch artist and fashion illustrator in the garment district. Over the years she loved oil painting and left a modest collection of her works for her family and friends to enjoy. In her later years she worked as an interior designer for several establishments. As a child, Carol learned to play the piano. She continued to enjoy entertaining family and friends throughout her life.
Carol was a vibrant, creative, personable and beautiful person inside and out with movie star looks and a passion for life. Anyone that came to know her was drawn to her. Carol was also a selfless person. The most important people in her life were her family and she would always put them first and make them feel loved and protected.
Carol is survived by her loving sons Richard Dampf (Vanessa) and Barry Dampf (Stacey), and her grandchildren Michael Dampf, Steven Dampf, Jordan Dampf, and Lindsay Dampf. She was predeceased by her husband Martin Dampf.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
