Carol A. Barber, passed away at her home on March 10, 2026. She was 83 years old.
Carol was born on September 7, 1942 in Danbury, CT, daughter of the late James and Blanche (Wildman) Lattin. Carol graduated from Bethel High School.
Carol was the beloved wife of Clifford “Skip” Barber for over 58 years before his passing in 2023. She and Skip lived a life full of joy and adventure together.
Carol was a dedicated worker with National Semiconductor for 30 years; in addition, she worked with Vision Engineering for many years. She was also a lunch lady at the Brookfield Schools; she enjoyed her time with the students and friends she met there.
Carol loved animals; she was raised with dogs, horses and cats. Carol had a golden heart. She cared about everyone and put others first always. Carol was a person you knew you could go to with any problems or issues; she was always there to listen.
Carol is survived by many cousins and dear friends. She was predeceased by her beloved son Ronald Barber in 1977, her husband Skip in 2023, her cat Willow and her brother Robert.
A private cremation will be held for Carol, burial of her ashes will be held at Brookfield Central Cemetery (490 Federal Rd. Brookfield, CT 06804) on Saturday, April 11th, at 1:00PM.
