Carmen Iris Rodriguez

Carmen Iris Rodriguez, of New Britain, CT, went to be with the Lord on November 24, 2023 with her family by her side. She was 73 years old.

Carmen was born on August 28, 1950 in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico daughter of the late Rafael and Maria (Rios) Santana. On August 21, 1971 Carmen married the love of her life Luis A. Rodriguez Torres.

Carmen was a pricing analyst with Stanley Black and Decker for many years before retiring. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, card games and watching wrestling. One of her favorite hobbies was completing puzzles with her husband Luis. She was a very kind, loving and sweet person who will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her. Mom took pride on being a breast cancer survivor. See you later alligator. IYKYK. 

Carmen is not only survived by her loving husband but also her daughters; Rosita Herrington and her husband John Herrington, Magaly Zamora Cruz and her husband Rick Zamora Cruz, her grandchildren; Shayla M. Reyes,  Jaelin K. Reyes and  Nya M. Reyes, her five 5 sisters; Hilda Molina, Nereida Santana, Yolanda Santana, Lucy Murphy and her six brothers; Juan "Johnny" Santana, Julio "Jay" Santana, Miguel Angel "Mike" Santana, Fernando Santana and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister; Illeana "Mimi" Santana and her brothers Hector Santana, Rafael Santana.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday November 28, 2023 at 10:30 am at St. Mary’s Church (544 Main St, New Britain, CT) with interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. A celebration of life gathering will be held on Monday November 27, 2023 from 4pm-8pm at Farrell Funeral Home (110 Franklin Square, New Britain).
