Brian R. McHugh passed on from this life on July16th, 2025. He was born on September 16th, 1955 in Mahopac, New York to William R. McHugh and Ethel Bradburn. He was raised in Mahopac and attended school there. In recent years, he had been residing in Sherman, CT.
Brian worked for over 30 years at Feed Barn in Brewster, NY, handling feed deliveries and warehouse activities. He was admired for his work ethic by his coworkers and will be sorely missed.
Brian was an avid motorcyclist and car enthusiast. He was especially proud of his Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle. For many years, he could be seen riding his motorcycle on his days off.
He was a skilled mechanic, and seemed to be able to fix anything, engine-related. He was also a passionate dog lover. His beloved dog, Lilly, was beside him every day at work. Brian was also a talented musician. He could play the harmonica, accordion, guitar, and piano. It seemed as if therewasn’t an instrument he couldn’t pick up and start playing.
Brian will be forever remembered for his keen wit and “larger-than-life” personality. Those people who were closest to him have referred to him as a “character”.
Brian’s memory is carried forward through his family: Roland McHugh, Diane Debord, Maureen Figueiredo (Tony) and Roberta Condos (Peter).
Services will be private at the request of the family.
