Danbury, CT – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brayan Roberto Mendez-Miguel, a beloved son, brother, and friend. Brayan, born on October 9, 2001, in Valhalla, NY, peacefully departed this world on November 23, 2023, in Danbury, CT. He was 22 years old.

Brayan was a cherished resident of Danbury, CT, where he worked as a server at Chipotle. His dedication and hard work were soon to be rewarded with a promotion to manager, a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. Known for his playful and joyful spirit, Brayan touched the lives of those around him with his infectious laughter and genuine kindness. He possessed a heart of gold, always ready to lend a helping hand and treat others with respect. Brayan's love for his mother, Berta Calcano, was evident in every aspect of his life, and their bond was unbreakable.

Brayan is survived by his father Elio Agustin, stepfather, Milton Perez, and mother Berta Calcano (Wilfredo), and his siblings Carlo, Jessica, Jayden, Mauri and Omar. He leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be cherished by his family and friends. Brayan is also survived by his grandparents, Cornelius Mendez and Adela Miguel, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family members.

Visitation to celebrate Brayan's life will be held at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home, located at 117 South Street, Danbury, CT, on Monday, December 4, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 5, 2023,  at 10 am. Burial will follow at Wooster Cemetery.

Brayan will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in his laughter and love. May he rest in eternal peace.

Con corazones apesadumbrados anunciamos el fallecimiento de Brayan Roberto Méndez-Miguel, un amado hijo, hermano y amigo. Brayan, nacido el 9 de octubre de 2001 en Valhalla, NY, partió pacíficamente de este mundo el 23 de noviembre de 2023 en Danbury, CT. Tenía 22 años.

Brayan era un residente querido de Danbury, CT, donde trabajaba como mesero en Chipotle. Su dedicación y arduo trabajo pronto serían recompensados con un ascenso a gerente, un testimonio de su fuerte ética laboral y compromiso con la excelencia.

Conocido por su espíritu juguetón y alegre, Brayan tocó las vidas de quienes lo rodeaban con su risa contagiosa y amabilidad genuina. Deja un legado de amor y calidez que siempre será apreciado por su familia y amigos. A Brayan también le sobreviven sus abuelos, Cornelius Méndez y Adela Miguel, así como numerosas tías, tíos y familiares.

La visita para celebrar la vida de Brayan se llevará a cabo en la Funeraria Danbury Memorial, ubicada en 117 South Street, Danbury, CT, el lunes 4 de diciembre de 2023, de 5:00 pm a 9:00 pm. Un servicio funerario tendrá lugar el martes 5 de diciembre de 2023, seguido de un entierro en el Cementerio Wooster en Danbury.

Brayan será profundamente extrañado por todos los que lo conocieron, pero su espíritu perdurará en los recuerdos y corazones de aquellos afortunados que compartieron su risa y amor. Que descanse en paz eterna.
