Barbara E. Westlake

Barbara E. Westlake, died peacefully in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her children on December 11, 2023. She was 95 years old.

Barbara was born on July 23, 1928 in Amesbury, MA, daughter of the late Edward Shaw and Eleanor (Williams) Shaw. Barbara was married to the love of her life, a WWII veteran, Henry Westlake. Henry predeceased his wife at a young age in 1971. Barbara was a wonderful mom, grandmother, and friend. She loved animals and you could always find her feeding the animals outside or bringing them in during the cold winter months.

Barbara is survived by her children; Ronald Westlake (Mary Ellen), Thomas Westlake (Michele) and Ellen Benz, her 6 grandchildren, 13 with one on the way great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. She was not only predeceased by her husband Henry, but also her son Earl Coffey, her son-in-law Robert Benz and her brother John Shaw.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday December 16, 2023 from 4pm-6pm with a service around 5:45 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street).
