Barbara Russo passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on July 11, 2025 at Regional Hospice. She was 80 years old.
Born on June 22, 1945 in New Milford, CT, daughter of the late Fred and Lillian (Landry) Carter.
Barbara enjoyed holidays, summers on the beach, gardening and mostly spending time with her family whom she cherished.
Barbara is survived by her lifetime partner Anthony Russo, loving children and grandchildren; William Smith (Lisa, Misty, Nicole, Willy), Ronald Smith (Dawn, Justin, Jessee), Angelo Russo (Laurie, Dominick, Anthony, Angelo) and Lisa Torres (Aldo, AJ, Abby), Anthony Russo(Lisa), Ricky Russo, Teresa Neumuller (Donald, Joseph, Jaclyn ) and Naomi Karagianes, (Donald, Kim, Kaitlyn, Donnie) her many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her siblings; Fred Carter and Gertrude Archiere. She was predeceased by Ruth, Neil, Rita, Freida, Noreen, June, Shirley, & Joyce and her beloved pet, Carly who offered her a companionship during her last 3 years battling her disease.
A private cremation will be held. Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street) assisted the family with arrangements. Please visit www.danburymemorial.com to send the family condolences.
