Barbara D. Morrissey

Barbara D. Morrissey,78, passed away on November 19th, 2025 in Danbury, CT. Barbara was born on July 23rd, 1947 in Danbury, Connecticut to Arthur and Dorothy (Schnabel)  Taylor.

In her younger years, Barbara was an avid bowler. She enjoyed many years of camping with her husband and having  family and friends join them at different campgrounds.  After retirement,  Barbara and her husband traveled south during the winter months and they enjoyed meeting with friends down South and she loved walking on the beach.

Barbara is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Robert F. Morrissey.  She is also survived by her sister, Beverly Nunes (Antonio), her niece, Stacey Nunes-Ranchy and nephew, Anthony Nunes. Also to carry on her memory are  brother in law, Mark Speigel (Andrea Naugle), and Betsy Adams, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Gathering is to be held on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025 from 10:00 am- 12:00 pm at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home , 117 South Street Danbury, CT 06810. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Bethel, CT.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory could be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
