Barbara Ann McKague

Barbara Ann McKague, a lifelong resident of Danbury, CT, passed away suddenly on June 10, 2025. She was 86 years old.

Born on June 12, 1938 in Danbury, CT, daughter of the late George A. and Mildred (Kuhlmann) Lee. Barbara was a 1956 graduate of Danbury High School. She married Robert H. McKague on December 2, 1961. Robert predeceased his wife in 2005.

Barbara was a proud mother of her two boys. She loved animals, especially cats. In her younger years Barbara loved to garden and paint. She was fortunate to be able to travel the world.

She is lovingly survived by her sons; Glenn and his wife Melinda and Michael and his wife Michele, her grandchildren; Anthony and Austin and her sister Nancy Sweeney. She was not only predeceased by her parents and husband but also her three brothers; George, David and Richard.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday June 16, 2025 at 10:30am at St. Peter’s Church (Main Street, Danbury). Interment will immediately follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery (Lake Avenue Ext., Danbury).
