Barbara Ruth Chiocchio

Mrs. Barbara R. (Perazella) Chiocchio, 88 passed away on Monday, May 24th at Regional Hospice. Barbara was born in Waterbury, CT on October 24, 1932, daughter of Joseph and Elena “Helen” (Lucarelli) Perazella.

She worked for many years at Sears in the catalog, customer service and carpet departments and later, after retirement from Sears, as a medical receptionist for Dr. Rokosky in Waterbury, CT. She moved to Danbury, CT in 2004 and was a member of St. Gregory the Great Parish. She loved spending time with family and friends, watching Hallmark and enjoying the sun and having Prosecco at Bob’s pool.

She leaves a daughter, Cindy Buzaid and her husband, Norman Jr. and a son Robert Chiocchio and his wife Liz all of Danbury, CT; two brothers, Joseph Perazella and his wife Santina “Tina”, Ronald Perazella and his wife Joyce, a brother-in-law Dino Biolo Sr. all of Waterbury, CT, five grandchildren Kristen Linskey and her husband Kevin of Southington, CT, Norman Buzaid III and his wife Crystal of Danbury, CT, Michael Chiocchio of New York, NY, Christina Cataldo and her husband Daniel of Waco, TX and Nicholas Chiocchio of Danbury, CT; six great grandchildren Ava, Braden, Gianna, Norman, Emily and Nicholas along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Robert Chiocchio and a sister Dolores Biolo.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Church 85 Great Plain Rd, Danbury, CT at 11 Am on Saturday, May 29th. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery 2324 East Main St. Waterbury.
