ARTHUR “ARTIE” SATRIALE lost his valiant 18-month battle with Pancreatic Cancer in New Fairfield, CT at the age of 81 on August 10, 2023.
Artie is survived by his three adult children, Kimberly Satriale, Peter (and Dina) Satriale and Donya Satriale and his three precious grandchildren, Alexis Kaul, Amelia Satriale and Jemma Satriale. Artie is also survived by two siblings, Irene Tangredi and Dorothy Satriale, his sister-in-law, Gail Satriale and many attentive adult nephews, nieces and great-nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased in death by his first wife, Maryann Zumar Satriale and his second wife, Barbara Grace, as well as his parents, Louis and Dororthy Satriale and his older brother, Louis Satriale.
Artie was born on August 2, 1942, in Mount Vernon, NY, graduated from Edison Vocational High School and was extremely proud of his 25 years as a firefighter in the Mount Vernon Fire Department; Artie also later became a Master Electrician running a small electrical contracting firm in Westchester County for over 30 years.
Artie ultimately retired to Charleston SC and enjoyed 17 years of sun, friends and leisure before relocating back to the Northeast and moving in with his son, granddaughters and much-beloved daughter-in-law, Dina. He thoroughly enjoyed his time living in New Fairfield CT where he was able to make many new Christian friends and reconnect with all his devoted NY firemen “brothers” and longtime friends in NY and CT.
Artie was known by all to be fun-loving, friendly, positive, kind, endearing, loving, funny, adorable and joyful and an absolute pleasure to know, love and befriend.
Per Artie’s wishes, a simple Catholic Mass is to be held at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 21 Brush Hill Rd, New Fairfield on Saturday October 7, 2023 at 10:30am, A "Celebration of Life" Luncheon will immediately Follow at: New Fairfield Fire Dept, Company A Hall, 302 Ball Pond Road, New Fairfield, CT 06812
The family would like to thank RVNA Hospice of Ridgefield CT for their compassionate dedicated, thorough and warm care of Artie over the past 6 months…we are endlessly grateful for their whole team and for the many friends and family who stayed in close touch with our Dad over the last 2 years. “Goodbye and good luck”…Artie’s longtime classic line!
