Anthony Russo

Anthony Russo passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on July 5, 2026, at Regional Hospice. He was 89 years old.

Born on October 6, 1936, in Danbury, CT, son of the late Angelo and Emily (Florio) Russo.

The patriarch of the Russo family, Anthony enjoyed his Mack trucks and John Deere collections, farming, summers at his beach house and mostly spending time with his family.

Anthony retired from the City of Danbury and became the owner/operator of Russo Farms and Larkey Land Investors where he spent the rest of his days running his businesses with his sons and grandsons.

Anthony is survived by his loving children and grandchildren; Anthony Russo (Lisa), Ricky Russo, Teresa Neumuller (Donald, Joseph, Jaclyn) and Naomi Karagianes, (Donald, Kim, Kaitlyn, Donnie) Angelo Russo (Laurie, Dominick, Anthony, Angelo), Lisa Torres (Aldo, AJ, Abby),  his many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his siblings; Marie Ricard (Richard) Phyllis Shook (Winfield), Angela Dickinson (Robert).  He is predeceased by his lifelong partner Barbara Russo and brothers Sonny Coppollo and John Russo.

A ceremony will be held at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street, Danbury, CT)  on Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 4pm-6pm.  Please visit www.danburymemorial.com to send the family condolences.
