Anthony Cutrera passed away on October 23, 2025. He was born on December 11th, 1935 to Salvatore Cutrera and Angelina Li Greci in Manhattan, New York. Anthony grew up in the Bronx and graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in 1954. While in attendance there, Anthony was on the basketball team and had the distinct pleasure of playing in Madison Square Garden for the high school championships. After graduating high school, he entered the military, serving proudly in the U.S. Army. He was on active duty from 1955 through 1957 and received an honorable discharge from the reserves in 1961. On his discharge from active duty, he returned to the Bronx and ultimately gained employment in the printing industry. He became a member of the Local One Amalgamated Lithographers Union and worked hard, sometimes holding 3 jobs to support his family. He continued to work in the industry until he retired at age 65. Anthony married in 1958 and started a family.
In 1968 the family moved to Brewster NY where Anthony joined the Brewster Volunteer Fire Department. He served as a Volunteer for the Fire Department until he moved to Florida after retirement. Anthony enjoyed life. He loved music, food, art, and dancing. He had many close friendships and was a loving and caring father. Anthony is survived by his cherished sons, Salvatore Cutrera (Rebecca) and Joseph Anthony Cutrera (Gloria Anzalone).
