Angelo Gutierrez Obituary

Angelo Gutierrez of Canaan CT passed away unexpectedly on August 28th, 2021, at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT. Angelo was born on October 27th, 1972, in Manhattan, New York to Gladys Almonte Gutierrez and the late Carlos Antonio Gutierrez.

Angelo was a seasoned and in-demand car salesman for over 25 years, most recently at Honda of Danbury.  His ability to converse in three languages (English, Spanish, and Portuguese) as well as his honesty, integrity, and willingness to help others led to a successful career.  Such was Angelo's personality that many of his clients were repeat customers and were referred to him solely through word-of-mouth.  Angelo loved music and movies and loved to cook to entertain his family and friends.

With his infectious smile and laughter, he captured the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have met him. Angelo’s family and friends meant the world to him, his loyalty to all was unparalleled. Angelo loved many but his love for his daughter Mia was beyond measure. Mia was his treasure, reason for living, and his whole heart. Angelo felt enormous pride and joy in his nieces and nephews; Christopher Taveras, Paul Arzola Jr., Noheli Taveras, Jonathan Perez, Laura Arzola, Daniela Arzola, Evan Gutierrez, and Alexa Gutierrez. He took great pleasure in spending time with them joking and teasing and raving to others of their many accomplishments. His departure came too soon and will impact our lives forever.

In addition to his mother, Angelo is survived by his beloved daughter Mia Sarah Gutierrez, stepson Peter Martin (wife Angela), stepson Joseph Martin and their mother Phyllis Martin. Seven siblings: sister Milagros Gutierrez (husband Alkendy Cerda), sister Daisy Gutierrez, sister Moraima Gutierrez (husband Galo Rodriguez), brother Frankie Gutierrez (wife Jean Kearney), sister Xiomara Gutierrez (husband Greg King), sister Dayana Gutierrez (Husband Franklin Tavarez), and sister Moraima Del Carmen Gutierrez.
