Alexandrina S. Ferreira

Alexandrina S. Ferreira, of Danbury, CT, formerly of Portugal, died peacefully with her loving daughter, grandson, and son-in-law by her side on December 6, 2023. She was 88 Years old.

Born on October 3, 1935 in Vila Franca da Serra, Gouveia, Portugal, daughter of the late Antonio De Sousa and Feliciana Santinho Lourenco. Alexandrina was married to the love of her life Jose Vaz Ferreira. Jose predeceased his wife on November 30, 2021.

Following the death of her husband, Jose, Alexandrina moved back to the United States to live with her beloved daughter Maria. Among many other things Alexandrina enjoyed working on her farm, knitting, gardening, and taking care of her family.

Alexandrina is survived by her loving family, her children; Maria Martinho and her husband Valter, Jose Manuel Bernardo Vaz Ferreira and his wife (Maria Jose), Carlos Alberto Bernardo Vaz Ferreira and his wife (Isabel), her 5 grandchildren, her 1 great granddaughter and many dear friends.

Services will be private. Alexandrina wishes were to return home, per her request a private cremation will be held, and her ashes will be brought home and interred with her beloved husband in Portugal. Danbury Memorial Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
