Alan Michael Shears

Alan Michael Shears, of New Milford, CT passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 22, 2025. He was 71 years old.

Born on January 13, 1954 in Schuylkill, PA, son of the late Elias and Ruth (Bower) Shears. Alan graduated from New Milford High School.

On August 21, 1976 he married the love of his life Judith Palmer. Together they shared many years together. Alan enjoyed running in his youth, he loved music and reading. After retirement he loved creating diamond art and his passion for reading grew.

Alan is not only survived by his beloved wife Judy but also his children Laura and Cody, his granddaughters Blake, Normandy and Aprilia, and his siblings; Ruth, Jeffrey and Eleanor. He was predeceased by his sister Kay.  

A private cremation was held and celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, February 1st at New Milford VFW from 1pm-4pm. Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street) assisted the family with arrangements. Please visit www.danburymemorial.com to send the family condolences.
