Osvaldo Antonio Paca

Osvaldo Antonio Paca passed away peacefully on November 18, 2018 at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT  surrounded by his children. Osvaldo, or Paca, as he was known through the community, was born on March 6, 1957 in Bela Vista do Paraíso, Brazil to the late Maria Rosa (Lindo) and Noel Rodrigues Paca.

Paca was a police officer in Brazil and worked several different jobs when he moved to the US over 20 years ago. He was well known for his infectious smile that often brought joy to everyone around him. He was a very caring person with a passion for helping people, and making sure everyone was alright and always laughing. 

He dedicated his time to help friends and strangers in need, his church and family. Paca could always be counted on if you needed him at any time, day or night. He was well known for his vibrant personality and kind heart. People have said that after meeting him for 5 minutes, he made you feel like he had known you for your whole life.

One of his favorite hobbies was socializing at Banana Brazil on Main St, where he was their unofficial greeter or "The Mayor".

Paca is survived by his three beloved children Bruna K. Paca, Osvaldo A. Paca Jr and Hugo K. Paca, former wife Faridi K. Berger as well as his daughter in law Natalia Paca, and sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews living in the US, Spain and Brazil.

A private service with immediate family was held on Wednesday, November 21st . A Celebration of Life Gathering is to be scheduled at a later date at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Bethel, CT.
