Miles Mobius Obituary

Miles Mobius, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away on Saturday, August 25th, 2018, at age 75 at Danbury Hospital in Danbury Connecticut.  He was born October 11th, 1942 in Mineola, New York to Erich Mobius and Anna Fischer (Mobius) and grew up in Stamford, Connecticut.

Miles served honorably in the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis, was a carpenter and avid gardener. In 1978 Miles met his wife Elizabeth. The very first time they saw each other she fell over a filing cabinet - it was true love and they were married in 1980. They have been inseparable ever since and the love they shared was unlike any other. Over the years Miles always put family first. His daughters and wife was his entire life but he also gave his time to various causes including St. Mary School Carnival and food drives with Knights of Columbus. Miles was an honorary employee at Hay Day Market in Ridgefield (Elizabeth was the general manager for many years) and he would do anything to help including washing the floors and stocking shelves. He made many life long friends there who became family. Miles worked at Stamford Ford Lincoln for the past 25 plus years and had no plans to retire as he loved his coworkers and customers. When not working Miles enjoyed simple things, well worn Sperry Top Siders, Polo shirts and eating his breakfast oatmeal. Miles spent the most time with his family, cooking, gardening, chasing his grandchildren and relaxing at the beach on the Cape. He had a strong faith and attended Sunday mass regularly.

Miles is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, daughter Meredith (Mobius) Ferris, Son-in-Law Michael Ferris, two beloved grandchildren Morgan Rose Suzanne Ferris and Miles Henry Ferris, daughter Melissa Mobius and companion Carlos Goyco, two grandpups Millie and Bella, niece Perri Mobius Nyquist, nephew Troy Mobius and great nephew Dylan Mobius. He was preceded in death by his brother Arthur Mobius.
