Michael Joseph Barney

Michael J. Barney, 57, of Danbury, CT passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019.

He is survived by his parents, Louis J. Barney and Ruby Barney, brother Kenneth Barney and wife Susan of Waterbury, CT, sister Debra Wood and husband Barry of Danbury, CT, sister Catherine Abney and husband Mark of Danbury, CT, sister Lisa Horton of Danbury, CT, Jesse Barney and wife Patricia of Bethel, CT, and Ruby Barney and finance Charles Broadbent of Torrington, CT. He had several nieces and nephews that he adored, Mark Abney Jr., Jennifer Abney, Sean Dingee, Louis Dingee, Jimmy Wood, Crystal Dos Santos, Luke Dingee, Justin Barney, Amanda Champe, Rebecca Horton, Tiffany Horton, Tyler Barney, Jonathan Barney, Hannah Barney, and several great nieces and nephews. 

Michael loved fishing, cooking, listening to music, gardening, and spending time with his family especially when they played horseshoes. He had a passion for animals and even rescued a few back to life. He was known to help others when they needed him. 

The family wishes to have a private ceremony to celebrate his life.
