Louis James Arico passed away peacefully on October 13, 2018 at Reginal Hospice in Danbury Connecticut surrounded by his loving daughters. Jim, as he was affectionately known to by friends and family, was born on July 6, 1921 to Albert Arico and Fortunata Rose Vinci in New York City. During World War 2, Jim proudly served his country as a pilot in the United States Army Air Corp.
On October 18, 1947 he was married to his beloved bride the late Margaret Zaccardo Arico and enjoyed 70 blissful years with her until her passing on April of this year.
Although a Jack of all trades, Jim’s primary career was as a financial consultant for the Metropolitan Life insurance company. Jim was an avid reader and somewhat of an aspiring historian but mostly enjoyed spending time cheerfully entertaining family and friends. All who knew him will attest to his outgoing and friendly personality, his willingness to always lend a hand, his calm and steady demeanor and his love and dedication to family.
Jim will be lovingly remembered by his four children Anthony (Teresa), Loretta, Rosemary (John) Molinari, Diane (Robert) Dobbins. He is also survived by his grandchildren Robert Delaney, Eric (Jessica), Lauren (Sajjad) Haque, Tara (John) Schwamb, Noelle DiGirolamo and great-grandson Ethan Haque.
A Family Memorial Service will be held on Oct. 29th, 10:30 a.m. at The Village at Brookfield Common, 246A Federal Rd, Brookfield Ct.
