Laura L Broderick

Laura L. Broderick passed away peacefully on January 14, 2018 at Regional Hospice of Danbury, while surrounded by her loving friends. Laura was born on December 15, 1955 in Bridgeport, CT to Thomas Broderick and the late Alice Smith Broderick.

Laura worked as a preschool teacher for Head Start in Danbury, CT and devoted her life to educating and caring for infants, toddlers and children. She was an extraordinarily gifted and caring teacher.

Laura was known for never raising her voice, having passion in all of her endeavors, and keeping up with her many, many friends through her favorite social networking sites. In her free time she enjoyed crochet, reading, and acted as an animal caregiver. She was a loving daughter and cherished friend.

Laura is survived by her father Thomas Broderick and step mother Jesse Broderick. Close friends Janet and Culver Bolmer, and Pamela and her family. Honorary nieces; Emily Bolmer, Katelyn Bolmer and Ashley Bolmer. Honorary grandchildren; Emmett and Kylie. As well as several uncles, cousins and countless loving friends.

A special thank you to Dr. Rella, Maria, and staff from the Praxair Cancer Center of Danbury Hospital for their amazing care. As well as the nurses, staff and volunteers of Regional Hospice & Home Care of Danbury CT for their support and kindness.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Thursday January 18, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street, Danbury CT 06810). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday January 19, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Parish (26 Dodgingtown Road, Bethel, CT 06801) with burial to follow at Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield, CT.
