Juan (Pootsie) Eric Scott, 54, of Meriden, CT, formerly of Danbury passed away unexpectedly at home on December 5, 2018. Born November 14, 1964 in Danbury, CT the son of Jamesetta Scott and the late Joseph Gaston. Juan attended Danbury Public Schools and graduated from Danbury High School in 1985. “Creep” as he was known by all, was employed by Risdon Manufacturing, Jiffy Lube and his most rewarding job was Seamans Furniture Inc. until Juan’s illness forced him into early retirement.
To know Juan was to love him. Whenever you saw him he would always greet you with an infectious laugh and smile. He was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his family who are very close.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Jamesetta Scott. Three (3) sisters Wanda Scott of Danbury, CT, Carla Scott of Kississmee, FL, and Indira Scott of Waterbury, CT and One (1) brother Darryl Scott of Danbury, CT; two aunts Delores Elleby of Danbury, CT and Cynthia (William) Scott Mayo of Danbury, CT; Four (4) nieces Keyanda Scott of Danbury, CT, Miari Scott of Kississmee, FL, Iesha Scott of East Point, GA and Desiree Scott of Danbury, CT and One (1) nephew MarRian Scott of Orlando, FL,; two great nephews and one great niece. He also leaves behind a host of cousins and close friends.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents James and Willie Mae Scott; three aunts, Tomasina Mitchell, Henrietta Brockington and Geraldine Swan; three uncles Marion Coaxum, James Scott, Jr., and Charles Scott. A special thanks to our extended family the Spencer’s. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Friday December 14, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Victory Christian Center (23 Eden Dr, Danbury CT 06810) with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 12 p.m.
