Joshua Wright passed away peacefully on October 12, 2017 at his home in Danbury, CT while surrounded by his loving family. Joshua was born on July 4, 1929 in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica to the late Irene (Shaw) and Charles Wright.
Joshua worked as a machinist for Danbury Hat Factory. Joshua was a devoted family man, loving husband, avid gardener and was always willing to give a helping hand to whomever was in need.
Joshua is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Joyce (Hutchinson) Wright, and their six children. Three sons; Michael Wright (wife Veronica), Patrick Wright, and Paul Wright. Three daughters; Jean Brock, Claudia Campbell, and Joan Wright. Two sisters; Edna Campbell and Ina Curry. As well as 22 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held at New Hope Baptist Church (12 Aaron B Samuels Blvd, Danbury, CT 06810) on Friday October 20, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., with a service to begin at 12 p.m. Burial to follow at Wooster Cemetery in Danbury, CT.
