Joanne Nellis Obituary
Joanne M. Nellis passed away peacefully on March 2, 2018 in Danbury, CT. Joanne was born on December 5, 1938 in Groveton, N.H. to the late Yvonne (Belanger) and Bradley J. Marshall Sr.
Joanne received her nursing degree from St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport, CT and worked as a registered nurse for Danbury Hospital for many years. After her retirement she continued to be very involved in with the Nurses Union 47 of Danbury.
In her free time Joanne could be found enjoying a good book, or spending as much time as possible with her grandson, Tyler, who was the apple of her eye.
Joanne is survived by her beloved daughter Delia Rogers (John P.), brother Bradley Joseph Marshall Jr, and grandson Tyler John Rogers. As well as her niece Yvonne and four nephews; Michael, Tony, Wayne and David. Joanne is predeceased by her sister Sandra Lombardi.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Friday March 9th, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St, Danbury CT).
