Guilhermina N. Moniz

Guilhermina N. Moniz passed away on December 3, 2019 at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT. Guilhermina was born on January 31, 1941 in Sao Miguel, Azores,Portugal to the late Diamantina and Manuel Fernandes DeSousa. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Agostinho Simao Moniz.

Guilhermina was an incredible seamstress, loved to knit, and loved to reminisce about the great times she had with her friends while working at Davis & Geck. She had a passion for baking and cooking, and enjoyed bringing the family together every Sunday for lunch. She was selfless, and always put the needs of others
before her own. She loved to play Bingo and Trouble with her family. She was a devout member of the Philadelphia Pentecostal Church.

Guilhermina is survived by her loving children Maria Cordeiro (Louie), John Moniz (Renee) and Agostinho Moniz (Beatriz), her brothers Manuel DeSousa, Joao C. Sousa, and her twin sister Diamantina Moniz. Guilhermina is also survived by her seven loving grandchildren Katrina, Kendra, Kelsie, and Louie Cordeiro Jr., Michael
and Austin Moniz, and Shawn Moniz, and her great granddaughter Melyssa, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved sister Maria Correia.

A private Celebration of Life Gathering for close family and close friends will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019 privately at Danbury Memorial Funeral
Home (117 South St. Danbury, CT 06810). A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 10 am at Danbury Memorial Funeral home, with burial to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery (Lake Ave. Ext.
