Erminda A. Duran passed away peacefully on December 11, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at her home in New Milford, Connecticut. Erminda was born on January 30, 1937 in Padre Las Casas, Azua in the Dominican Republic to the late Delores (Cuevas) and Thomas Duran.
Erminda was a warm, friendly and loving woman who never met a stranger. She considered everyone to be family and shared her love and joy to everyone that she met. She loved to cook and share her love by feeding everyone that she could. Erminda loved to dance, no matter the style, you would find her enjoying the music and rhythm. Above all things, Erminda loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an amazing mother and she will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Erminda is survived by her four loving children Carmen Villegas, Maribel Diorio, Thomas Pinales and Wilson Pinales, her beloved grandchildren Robert, Randhee, Michael, Miguel, Angel, Lornena, Kaylee, Raymond, Jefferson, Anndy and Esmarlin, as well as her sister Estela and her two brothers Elpido and Plineo. Erminda was predeceased by Lorena and Maria.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Sunday December 15, 2019 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St. Danbury, CT 06810) from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday December 16, 2019 at St. Peter’s Church (104 Main Street, Danbury, CT 06810) at 10:30 AM with burial to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery (Lake Ave Ext. Danbury, CT)
