Edson Marques Pires passed away on December 24, 2017 in Valhala, NY. Edson was born on July 13, 1957 in Santo Andre, Brazil. Husband of Lucielia Marques Santos Pires.

Edson was a fun loving family man. He was devoted to given his family the best life possible and worked tirelessly to immigrate to the United States in order to achieve that goal. His favorite past time was supporting his favorite soccer team, Portuguesa.

Edson is survived by his loving wife Lucielia Marques Santos Pires, and their two daughters Bruna Marques Santos Pires (husband Zachary Ferry) and Maria Carolina Pires Panzica (husband Denis). Grandsons Ethan Pires Panzica and Lucca Marques Santos Pires. Mother Luz de Jesus Marques Pires and father Manuel Marques Pires. As well as his sister Lucilia, brother Gilberto, nephews Matheus and Marcos, and niece Beatriz.

Visitation will be held on Friday December 29, 2017 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St, Danbury CT). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter Church in Danbury, CT on Friday December 29, 2017 to begin at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Wooster Cemetery.
