Dorothy Marie Morgenstern

An early Christmas gift, Dorothy was born to Donalda (Cote) and Thomas McKeever in the Bronx NY, on December 18, 1916. A quiet and gentle woman, she passed away on Easter Sunday April 1, 2018 after 101 years of living a life filled with love for her family and generosity and compassion for others.

Dorothy married the love of her life, Emanuel Morgenstern on October 1, 1937 and together they raised 4 children.

They were happily married for 54 years until Manny’s death in 1991. She moved to Danbury in 1992.

Dorothy is survived by her children, and their spouses; Diana (George) Thomas, Susanne (John) Rahilly, Donald (Patricia) Morgenstern, Douglas (Charlene) Morgenstern, six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dorothy's honor to the charity of your choosing.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Thursday April 5, 2018 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St, Danbury CT 06810) from 5 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday April 6, 2018 at St. Edward the Confessor Church (21 Brush Hill Rd, New Fairfield, CT 06812) at 10:30 a.m.
