When he moved to America, he left behind the love of his life Rossana Cortina. He proposed and brought her to America where they married and had a family and have been together ever since. Domenico and Rossana successfully ran an Italian deli (Roma Importing) in Danbury that was established by his parents Raniero and Santina Ferrante. Roma's as it was called was a neighborhood fixture, the store was open 7 days a week during a time when convenience stores were non-existent.
