Carolyn L. Pendergrass

Carolyn L. Pendergrass passed away on October 3, 2017 at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT. Carolyn was born on December 13, 1947 in Los Angeles, CA to the late Ruby (Stuber) and Wynn R. Loucks.

Carolyn worked as a registered nurse for Regional Hospice & Home Care of Danbury, CT and formerly worked for Filosa Nursing Home of Danbury, CT. She moved to Danbury in 1988 from Pomona, CA where she worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles and Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena.

Carolyn loved crafts, particularly quilting and sewing, and was a voracious consumer of mysteries, both novels and television. She had a soft spot for all animals and was an admirer of antique cars and film animation. She especially savored the ritual of morning coffee with her husband. She had a strong competitive side and yet she consistently devoted herself to others both in her professional and personal life.

Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Richard G. Pendergrass, and their two daughters Christina R. Pendergrass of Danbury, CT and Kelly A. Connor and Kelly's husband Michael P. Connor of St. Petersburg, FL.
