Barbara Newmark

Barbara Newmark passed away on Saturday December 8,2018 at Danbury Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Abner and Mary Miller (Sherwood). Barbara was wife of the late William Newmark. She was born on September 23,1932 in Fairfield Ct .Barbara was a Registered Nurse at Norwalk, then Danbury Hospital for many years. She loved nursing.  Her hobbies included crocheting, and knitting.  She was also quite fond of visiting the casinos.

Barbara is survived by her son, Brian Abbott and wife, Danelia, of Newtown; and daughter, Debra (Abbott) Bergeron and husband, Robert, of New Bedford, MA. Stepchildren; William J. Newmark and wife, Patrice, of Newtown; Gary V. Newmark and wife, Debra, of Callands, VA; James B. Newmark and wife, Tracy, of Haverstraw New York; Chandra (Newmark) Weising and husband, Mark, of Old Hickory, TN; One Sister Carol Tyler. Barbara is also survived by many wonderful grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was also pre-deceased by her first husband, William Abbott.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will  be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday December 13,2018  with a prayer service to begin  at 12:30 p.m., Danbury Memorial Funeral Home, 117 South Street.
