Ave Maria Dube passed away peacefully on August 16, 2019 at Danbury Hospital while surrounded by her loving family. Ave was born on January 6, 1957 in Norwalk CT to the late Audrey (Wood) and Paul Palinkas.
Ave worked as a school bus driver for the Bethel School System for over 30 years.
In her free time Ave loved to play games, either at home or at a casino. She loved to try her luck with gambling games and having family Yahtzee nights. Even into her older years she could often be found going to her favorite concerts and dancing to the music. She loved to take family vacations to Cape Cod and Rhode Island, where everyone was welcome, and the beach was nearby.
She is survived by her husband Gerald “Gerry” Dube. Three beloved daughters; Tracy Rubino (Felix Jr.), Teresa Cruz, and Debra Ferreria (Nelson). Three stepdaughters; Heather Perrault (Mike), Amber Dube, and Crystal Dube. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 9 siblings. As well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by one brother.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Friday August 23, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home with a prayer service to begin at 6:30 p.m.
