Angela Venita (Cole)Johnson

Angela Venita (Cole) Johnson passed away on January 3, 2019, in Danbury, CT. Angela was born on July 19, 1960, in Danbury, CT to the late Delores (Sheppard) and Howard Vincent Cole.

Angela a Danbury native; attended the Danbury public school system and Wilford Beauty Academy where she studied hair and cosmetology. She worked at Grolier formerly:  Scholastic as a Collections Supervisor.

Her hobbies included cooking, shopping, playing cards and the lottery ($3 Cash Words).  She loved spending time with family and friends. 

Angela is survived by her husband Mark E. Johnson, her daughter Danielle D. Cole, and stepsons; Anthony Milner Johnson of Hartford, CT and Demar Sistrunk of Bridgeport, CT. Sisters Stephanie Heard of New Haven, CT; and Michelle Ross. Brothers Alan Jones and Michael Ross all of Danbury, CT. Two beloved granddaughters D’Your Carr and Journey Carr. As well a host of nieces and nephews.  Her cousin Deborah Jean Wade that she affectionately referred to as "sister". Her beloved friends, Josephine Lee and Lisa Taft.  She is predeceased by her Aunt "mom" Mamie C Ross and brother George Ross.

Angie was loved by many friends and family and will be greatly missed. 

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Victory Christian Center (23 Eden Dr, Danbury CT 06810) with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Bethel, CT.
