Nancy Epple Obituary

Nancy Dann Epple, born on November 11,1931, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving children at the age of 92.
Born in Danbury, CT, Nancy called Bethel her home for most of her life. She was very proud that she was twin to her brother, Ward C. Dann. She also adored her younger brother John (Jack) Dann and later loved and embraced their wives (Barbara Kirk Dann and Shirley Main Dann) and their families throughout her life. Nancy was predeceased by her parents (Carlton and Dorothy Dann), her brothers and her husband.
Nancy married her high school sweetheart, Karl Epple, in 1953 and together they raised and nurtured a loving family. They truly inspired their children and grandchildren with the true meaning of devotion and caring during their 64 years of marriage.
Nancy leaves behind three children: Gary Epple (Carol Anderson Epple) of Austin, TX, Karen Epple Geisler (Mark Geisler) of Cortlandt Manor, NY and Sharon Epple (Carol Schaab) of Bethel. Her love extended to her nine grandchildren: Matthew Epple, Erik Epple, Timothy Epple, Benjamin Geisler, Brendan Geisler, Emily Geisler, Karli Erickson, Max Beitel and Christian Beitel-Horton. She adored twelve great-grandchildren: Emery, Easton, Josie, Mae, Jack, Ivy, Charlie, Fallon, Astri, Inge, Sophie and Stella. Nancy also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Trudy Lauf. She loved every moment spent with her family, of whom she was immensely proud, and created lasting memories that will be cherished.
Nancy also cherished her nieces and nephews, their families and her extended family, who will surely remember fondly the many family reunions and parties she hosted at her home. Nancy had a great sense of humor and enjoyed laughing, dancing and singing. In her wishes, she reminded all: “Don’t forget love each other and at least one hug a day!”
Nancy’s and her late husband Karl’s ashes will be laid to rest together in a private graveside ceremony at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Danbury, CT.
Nancy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
