Mary F. Rindfleisch passed away on April 5, 2018 at Danbury Hospital. Mary was born on February 20, 1955 in Long Beach, California to the late Carol (Olson) and Norval Rindfleisch. Beloved wife of Joseph V. Keneally of Sherman.
Mary was the assistant director of the Ridgefield Library. Her interests were broad, her energy immeasurable and her impact wide.
Mary was one of the first women to graduate from Philips Exeter Academy. She attained a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, in comparative literature from Wesleyan University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Later she earned a master’s degree in library science from Southern Connecticut State University.
Mary is survived by her husband of nearly 30 years, Joseph Keneally, as well as her two sisters and their husbands, Julie and Kevin Granville of Sussex, N.J., and Kate and Tom McGrath of Drexel Hill, Pa; and brother Joe of Cambridge, Mass.; and her nieces and nephew, Nora, Jane and Peter Granville and Hannah and Sarah McGrath; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles and cousins across the country.
There will be a celebration of Mary’s life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary’s honor to the Sherman Library, PO Box 40, Sherman, CT 06784.
