Not only was it a privilege, but a pleasure to have met and worked alongside such an amazing person and nurse! Whether seriously having a conversation concerning a patient’s best interest, or privately laughing in the copy room at the end of a long day, I will miss her presence. To Rich and “her girls” as she referred to you, may you find a sense of peace and comfort in being together at this difficult time, and in the memories you each hold most dear.

One of her greatest attributes was her sense of humor. Quite mischievous at times. I am reminded of the time she was in a staff meeting and the word "coumadin" came up. The non-medical person taking minutes asked "How do you spell that?" She immediately replied "W-A-R-F-A-R-I-N". Thank you for spurring that memory and for your kind wishes.

Condolensces to Carolyn's family (whom she loved and cherished!). I had the honor of working side by side with her in our in patient center - EVERY WEEKEND - until she was forced to retire due to her health challenges. She was an amazing person who never had a mean thought and was always positive and making the best of every situation. She kept us all going - even on the busiest of days. Her dry sense of humor always kept me smiling! I have missed her a great deal and will continue to miss her hereafter. My love to you all.
